The Chinese and Japanese Repository of Facts and Events in Science, History and Art Relating to Eastern Asia, Volume I:11 (May 3, 1864) and Volume I:12 (June 3, 1864), London, W.H. Allen & Co., Paris, Benjamin Duprat, 8vo, paper wraps, pages. Contents of each issue outlined below.

The June issue contains a section titled "Japan" (pages 519-522) which reports on the announcement of "another Japanese Embassy to Europe." This section also has a portion titled "Japanese Buying Foreign Steamers" noting the purchase of the Yangtsz for $145,000 by the Tycoon, the purchase of the Ayrshire Lass for $30,000 by the Satsuma and the Shun-li for $100,000 by the Governor of Nagasaki.

These are two issues of 29 from this periodical. The entire set covers Volume I-III, consecutive No. 1 (July 1863) through No. 29 (December 1865), 1863-1865, later hard bound in three volumes, approximately 40~48 pages per monthly issue, 500~534 pages per bound volume.
