Bridge of Cut Stone & Entrance |
Most lithographs are reasonably close in appearance but this is an exception. The Type I and Type II have very different figures. The title "Bridge of Cut Stone & Entrance to a Temple, Simoda" measures 9.9cm on the Type I and 10.6cm on the Type II. On the Type I the title to the right reads "P.S. Duval & Co. Philada.". On the Type II it reads "P.S. Duval & Co. Phil.". In the Type I most of the figures have dark color clothing and are surrounded by a darker background. In the Type II the same figure generally has lighter color clothing and are surrounded by a lighter background. | |

Type II Type II - Figures surrounded by lighter background. |
